Just a quick mini-post to say that Nick’s still in the hospital but doing well. His fever is down and his vitals are back to normal and all of the cultures came back negative. He’s still a bit froggy-voiced, but he can talk now. His neutrophil count is still low (it’s gone from 0 to .1 to .2 so it’s rising a bit each day – they want it at one, so he’s 20% of the way there). The plan is to switch him from high-dose IV antibiotics to oral antibiotics then monitor in-hospital for the next 24 hours. If his fever stays down, they’ll send him home on Sunday to wait for his counts to go back up.
Super amazing news💕😊

Very relieved to hear hes improving. All of you are with us in our thoughts. Love you xxx Lou
Good news!
I am sure he’s as bored as hell in the hospital.
Mike, and family
He’s doing not too bad. Has his beats headphones on and his iPad mini and he chuckles every few minutes so whatever he’s doing on there it seems to be keeping him entertained. Fortunately as a high-risk for infection patient he gets his own big room with ensuite and a full wall of windows.
Thanks Lynn……..what a battle. Always thinking of you Nick Wayne and Cathy

Grateful for the positivity and sense of humour that he probably got from my dad. xo
Ok…thank you for letting us know. We’re so very concerned, of course. Way to fight back, Nick! Hope you get to go home tomorrow, my love….BIG HUGS!
Great news on the vitals! Keep up the positivity CCR ! (Chachi, Carolyn, Ray)
Such good news. Hope he’s home again soon.
Just brought him home half an hour ago. 🙂
